PRIMM Srl
PRIMM srl is a SME, specialized in R&D, engaged in the manufacturing, international marketing and sale of custom biotech services and products for the academic and industrial scientific community. PRIMM was founded in 1990 and today is one of the main companies able to provide the following services: Poly- and Monoclonal Antibodies, Peptides, DNA Synthesis, DNA Sequencing, Protein Analysis, Gene Cloning, Recombinant Protein and a variety of pharmacological/toxicological services. PRIMM srl employs: in R&D laboratories 16 researchers, 13 technicians, 2 students, 1 CEO, 3 administrative personnel and 6 marketing and sales personnel. The turnover amounts to more than 2.000.000 Euro. PRIMMs expertise lies in the synthesis, purification, modification and analytical control of DNA and RNA, characterization and analysis of peptides/proteins by mass spectrometry, N-terminal sequencing and peptide mapping with MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, expression and production of recombinant proteins in E.Coli, production, modification and purification of synthetic peptides and evelopment of animal models for bioassays.
PRIMM Srl roles in SYBIL
PRIMM contruibution will be adressed to the identification of new biomarkers of the diseases and to the development of innovative and effective methodologies for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of known biomarkers either proteins and peptides or small metabolites by mass spectrometric methodologies. PRIMM will perform proteomic analysis of target proteins present in different biological fluids (urine and serum), and protein identification by MS, "peptidome" analysis by 2-D chromatography, development of multiple reaction monitoring techniques (MRM). PRIMM will also develop and generate monoclonal antbodies.
Facilities available at PRIMM Srl include R&D laboratories, manufacturing facilities and commercial offices located in: Milan, Italy, Primm srl San Raffaele Biomedical Science Park - Lab. of DNA chemistry, Lab. of DNA sequencing and genetic analysis, Lab. of Molecular Biology, Lab. of Biochemistry; Treviso Italy, PRIMM - Lab. of Monoclonal and Polyclonal antibodies production, animal care and veterinarian facility certified under the international GLP standards; Naples Italy, PRIMM - Lab of Peptide chemistry and Peptide/Protein Analysis, DNA sequencing; Boston USA, PRIMM USA Inc - commercial office.
